When companies first began talking about the rise of Artificial Intelligence, people’s immediate fear was “What work is this going to steal from me?”. As time has gone on however, people are now starting to relook at AI as a tool, and thinking “What other work can I get it to do for me?”.

Here at Bull Marketing, we’re taking this approach, and having a deeper look into AI and exploring all the ways it can actually help facilitate a brand to do better work, for stronger results.

So, let’s dig in!

Consumer Interaction

With millions of businesses out there promoting their services and products, consumers now more than ever are favouring the brands they trust to deliver a high-quality customer experience. So, providing quick, accurate information for your customers is crucial. It will ensure they feel their needs are understood, and solutions are efficiently provided.

Here’s where AI kicks in. Utilising AI chatbots is an incredibly effective way to deliver individual customer service, at pace, to a high standard.
Going beyond this, companies are also adopting AI chatbots to help with their payments and processing. So much so, according to Juniper research, by the end of 2024, consumer retail spend via chatbots worldwide will reach $142 billion.

Their research also found this format of self-service is so effective that 40% of global internet users prefer interacting with AI over a brands virtual agent.

It’s no surprise why, with no shortage of the technology available, AI is available for interaction around the clock. This takes away the need to wait in line to speak to a person; a pain point for anyone.

Whether it be to answer queries, or help process payments and refunds, AI chatbots are showing their worth for boosting popularity among consumers. They enable companies to improve their users experience of the brand by providing a highly personalised interaction, any time any day.

Content Generation

With increasing demand for personalised offerings, companies face the challenge of creating diverse content quickly while appealing to various specific target groups. So it’s no surprise, in a 2023 research study, Statista found that 73% of US marketers used generative AI tools when creating content.

While many feared the rise of AI would lead to human creators being made redundant, it’s clear that the opposite is in fact true. Adopting AI-powered tools within the realm of content creation is actually helping creatives adapt to this evolving world with growing emphasis on customised content.

What does this look like? Normally, when asked to create content for a brand, while tailoring each piece to a specific target group, there’d be a few challenges for marketers. For one thing, this level of personalisation requires time, and lots of it. In addition, a lot of resource would need to go behind the work to achieve high quality results.

However, by utilising AI tools such as Adobe Firefly, creators can quickly turn around high volumes of artwork for brands. This allows for deeper levels of bespoke customisation.

Rather than avoiding involving AI in content creation, brands can, and should, leverage it to their advantage! It allows for minimised time constraints and resource shortages. As a result,  brands can think more creatively, without having to worry about  the logistics which previously held them up.

Task Automation:

Now, it’s safe to say a day in the life within the marketing industry is eclectic and truly never the same! With requests coming in left, right and centre, it can feel like there isn’t enough time in the day to focus on creative problem-solving and strategy. And really, this is what lays at the heart of the industry.

Whatever area of marketing you work in, it’s safe to say there’s a desire to focus on higher level tasks, like strategy planning or creative problem-solving. However, in any role, there are pain point tasks. These are the workflow processes, like data entry, which are manual, time-consuming but, important.

Of course, it’s easy enough to find out what these tasks are: they’ll usually be the ones everyone complains about having to do! One of the great things about AI? It won’t complain about a task it’s been given, no matter how repetitive or time consuming.

As companies are quickly learning, and loving, automating previously manual tasks such as data entry or report generation, frees up considerable time for their workforce. This time instead can be committed to working on the tasks which take brands to the next level.

Whether it be higher quality content resulting from more time given to projects, or increased business stemming from freed up time spent pitching, giving AI the more monotonous tasks allows for bigger growth and better results.

Overall, AI is proving itself to be a great asset for companies to utilise in a range of ways. It can help improve personalisation of both consumer experience and content created. It can also minimise time spent on tasks which need doing but can detract from big picture work. And, realistically, every business needs time to focus on the bigger picture, to allow for continued growth and development. So, what’s not to love about AI?
